Chicory & Lemon

This one wasn't planned. While developing the Vallée de Galène range, we added lemon oil to a chicory batch on a creative whim — a flavor nowhere near the coffee orbit. The result was surprising enough to keep.

Vallée de Galène Lemon pairs slow-roasted chicory root concentrate with pure lemon oil — not lemon juice, not lemon flavoring. Lemon oil is cold-pressed from the rind, where the most concentrated, most aromatic citrus character lives. A small amount does more than a large amount of juice ever could, and it does it cleanly, without the acidity.
