This one wasn't planned. While developing the Vallée de Galène range, we added lemon oil to a chicory batch on a creative whim — a flavor nowhere near the coffee orbit. The result was surprising enough to keep.
Vallée de Galène Lemon pairs slow-roasted chicory root concentrate with pure lemon oil — not lemon juice, not lemon flavoring. I wanted to explore alternatives to ice-tea, which I love. So I was intrigued when I saw this mix of chicory and lemon.

I am consuming more elderberry products during the cold season to boost my immune system. This mix also has chicory root, which is super good for your gut. This has no sugar so it is on the bitter side. But you can drink it with water without mixing anything else. If you’re looking to drink something on a daily basis, you can definitely go with this.
This is tasty chicory syrup with no sugar. It easily dissolves in hot water. I mixed it in my French press brew of Arabica and it added lightness to the coffee and eased off the bitterness. It's a thick concentrate so some of it will clump up and stick around the bottle top. I just wash it off with warm water otherwise it gets sticky.
I have been drinking coffee alternatives for two years now as I deal with Gerd. I purchased this concentrate a couple of months ago and have been experimenting with flavors. As with all botanical alternatives, there is a little bitterness and earthiness to it. But not nearly as much as in dandelion or some herbal teas. Within about two weeks, I began tasting the pleasant nutty flavor. Sometimes I add condensed milk into my chicory and it’s divine!!!

I have been drinking elderberry and chicory mix for about two months. I really enjoy the fruity flavor of the elderberries mixed in with thick chicory extract. Keep in mind that this is not a syrup, it is not sweet. When I am drinking it hot, I can sense the warmth spreading allover my body keeping me healthy. I've also drank it cold just like punch. The flavor is unique but very pleasant and strong. At one teaspoon, it's not as bitter as coffee so you don't have to mix it with creamer.

This the first time I tried a liquid chicory concentrate. It was very simple to prepare and I had no problems with acid or anything. It is not sweetened, so I added a little sugar. The flavor is very bright. When I pour it, it looks like thick syrup. Enjoy.

It was my first time trying chicory coffee. I mixed it with my coffee about a half a teaspoon, and it really removed the bitterness while preserving the coffee flavor. I don't use sugar with my coffee. I will experiment with vanilla extract next.

Really enjoyed this chicory root concentrate. I've tried the granules from worldwide botanicals before and they make a decent brew. But this concentrate is much more vibrant and flavorful. One teaspoon makes a very potent mix. It's very easy to make and I've really enjoyed it as my morning routine without the effects of caffeine.

I haven’t drank coffee in a long time - but I picked up the vanilla chicory concentrate because I wanted something warm to sip after long days and after church. Honestly, I figured it would taste like weak, sweetened water. I was wrong. One tea spoon stirred into hot milk turns rich, toasty, almost caramel-like. There is little vanilla flavor, barely noticeable, so you might want to add your own extract or syrup for flavor. I use agave syrup to sweeten it because it has a low glycemic index. What I really enjoy is how a cup of this chicory feels without any caffeine keeping me up - I can drink it at nine at night and still sleep fine. I especially enjoy it around 3-4 pm. I have had it for almost a month now, and a little truly goes a long way. I have had a great experience with it so far.
